Born, raised, and educated in Newcastle-under-Lyme and a graduate of Staffordshire University, Mark began his Articles with a firm of solicitors in the Yorkshire Dales and later transferred those to a local firm which later became Lichfield Reynolds LLP. Mark was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 and rose through the ranks to Senior Partner during the following 34 years. In 2021 Mark Joined Turnocks bringing with him an existing criminal defence team.

Mark has over 30 years of criminal defence expertise in all types of criminal matters not to mention a thriving practice in defending motoring cases, locally and further afield. Mark has a growing practice representing Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Drivers in connection with Taxi Licence Appeals both before Local Council Committees, in the Courts and on appeal.

A keen motorcyclist and skier Mark assists in the running of Leek Town Ladies Football Club. When Mark is not defending, he enjoys running, hill walking and old-fashioned pubs serving real ales.
